Level 4: Plan, monitor and allocate work in own area of responsibility HABC
Where will this course lead?
This qualification is intended for those who want to upgrade their Level 4 IQA Award. Upon completion, you will be able to lead internal quality assurance at your organisation, or as a freelancer.
The objective of the qualification is to support other roles in the workplace to ensure quality is monitored and continually improved.
What will I study?
The qualification consists of one unit.
You will be expected to have the following:
Level 4 Award in internally monitoring the quality of assessment process and practice.

The unit covers management of an IQA team within an organisation. You will learn multiple aspects of quality management that will enable you to manage a team of IQAs including allocating responsibilities and monitoring quality of work.
How will this course be delivered and what is the duration?
Following enrolment onto the course, you will be contacted by your assessor who will arrange an initial online meeting to introduce you to the course and it's structure.
During this meeting you will have the opportunity to ask any questions about the course, we will be happy guide you and answer your queries.
If you would like more regular feedback from your assessor, you have the option to arrange monthly online meetings with them. You can book these meetings at a mutually convenient time as and when you feel the need.
You will have a full year to complete the course, so you can work at your own pace. The content is delivered via videos in a structured manner with all questions and interactive learning activities included.
These lessons cover all content and the performance evidence requirements.
What qualifications will I get?
Level 4 Unit: Plan, allocate and monitor work in own area of responsibility. This will qualify you to Lead internal quality assurance within your organisation.
Use your new L4 Award in IQA as Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) to gain your Lead Certificate in IQA.
How will I be assessed?
Assessment of the few knowledge-based questions is through written answers to questions and professional discussion.
For the performance-based unit, you will need to be assessed by observation of performance during monitoring activities (by a qualified Lead IQA in your workplace).
There is also an option to have your Otaquast assessor observe you (live online).
You will provide evidence of development and improvement activities, evidence provided from monitoring and improving practice, including records of observations, training, CPD records, witness statement and self-evaluation.

What are the entry requirements?
In order to complete this qualification, learners are required to:
Be a minimum of 19 years of age
Be able to write in English at an appropriate level
It is recommended but not essential that learners hold one of the following qualifications prior to enrolling:
Level 3 Award in Assessing Competence in the Work Environment
Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement
A1 Assess Candidate Performance Using a Range of Methods
D32/D33 Assess Candidates Performance/Assess Candidates Using a Different Range of Methods
What else do I need to know?
You will need to be in a role that allows you to monitor and support at least two IQAs.
