What evidence is required?

To successfully achieve your level 4 certificate, you will be required to submit compelling product evidence, including lesson plans and resources alongside your assessments.

Demonstrating your teaching expertise is vital, and for this qualification, you must log a minimum of 30 hours of practical teaching experience in a real classroom setting. This teaching hours log must be endorsed by a qualified individual within your organisation or an appropriate witness to ensure it accurately reflects your teaching journey.

Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to showcase your skills through three observation sessions, where you will deliver engaging lessons to adult groups of at least 5 participants. These observations must be conducted by an expert witness who holds a level 5 qualification or its equivalent in education and training, along with one of the following assessment qualifications:

• Level 3 Award in Assessing Competence in the Work Environment

• Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement

• A1 Assess candidate performance using a range of methods

• D32/D33 assess candidates performance/assess candidates using a different range of methods

To facilitate this process, we provide comprehensive observation paperwork that helps capture the essential evidence of your teaching prowess.

What if I don't have an observer who is appropriately qualified?

If you do not have a suitably qualified expert witness to observe you, we can arrange for your observations to be carried out live online by one of our assessors. This would mean you arranging for our assessor to see the session via Teams, as it is happening. Please let us know if this option is better for you.

Embrace this chance to validate your skills and make a meaningful impact in your educational career!
